Layla Slater

Operations Manager

Layla is a Registered Assistant with LPL whose goal is to focus on empowering the firm's women clients by providing education that is tailored to their specific needs. She also assists Brian in client meetings and reviews, placing trades inside existing accounts once decisions are made in the advisor/client discussions. Like Brian, she holds her FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations with LPL Financial.

As the Operations Manager of Slater Wealth Management, Layla handles every task necessary to keep the business running smoothly. Beyond managing all behind-the-scenes aspects of the firm, she is highly focused on hospitality. While she strives to ensure that all operations flow flawlessly, she also has a deep understanding of what matters most – you, the client. She understands the anxiety associated with making big decisions, especially when it concerns your life savings. It is this awareness that allows her personality to shine. She strives to help put your concerns at ease the moment you walk into the office by offering that first smile and handshake. This knack for hospitality is a difference maker when showing you that she and Brian genuinely care.

Layla earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Illinois with an emphasis on administration. Her heightened awareness of her clients' needs also led her to attain the Notary Public certification, further expanding her level of service.

Having family ties to the central Illinois area led Layla, her husband Brian, and their two children, Noah and Abigail to establish their roots in Peoria. When she is not serving her clients, she is highly involved with community activities and enjoys running, fitness, and traveling with her family. Through their own personal experiences, both Layla and Brian feel a strong responsibility to give back to their community through volunteering, fundraising and sitting on various boards and committees for local non-profit organizations.
